Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager, you will:
- Support individuals in achieving their full potential by facilitating relationships, skills and roles which promote people’s participation as valued members of their community;
- Have an understanding of supporting individuals with complex support needs in a sensitive and respectful manner, in all areas of their lives;
- Participate in the Person Directed Planning process;
- Administer medication as required;
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Assist in the work that is involved in daily home life;
- Be available to work pre-determined regularly scheduled shifts i.e. Monday through Sunday (including evenings and weekends)

Qualifications:
- Related work experience in the Developmental/Social Services field.
- Valid Non Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate and valid CPR / First Aid required.
- A Diploma/Certificate in Developmental/Social Services field or a combination of relevant training / post-secondary education and work related experience.
- Knowledge of Community resources
- Valid Driver’s license (where required by location)
- Specialized training (where required by location, i.e. G-Tube)
- Must be able to maintain good attendance
- A current Police Reference Check which includes a Vulnerable Sector Screening required.

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Director of Finance to oversee all financial aspects of our organization. As the Director of Finance, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial stability and sustainability of our organization, allowing us to continue our mission and growth.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Finance is responsible for the oversight of the Finance Department including the following key areas of responsibility:
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees the operation of the Finance Department to ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial and operational requirement for charities.
- Manages the day-to-day financial operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger.
- Completes month-end and quarter-end accounting processes and reconciliations.
- Prepares and presents financial reports for the Senior Leadership Team, Finance Committee, and Board of Directors.
- Monitors and manages the organization’s financial performance and reports to the CEO and the Board of Directors.
- Oversees budgeting, financial planning and forecasting processes.
- Oversees all aspects of the annual external audit.
- Ensures strong levels of internal control to achieve maximum financial and data integrity.
- Develops and execute financial strategies to support the organization’s goals and mission.
- Develops financial policies and procedures to ensure that resources are utilized effectively and efficiently and that financial services are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborates with Director of Services, Human Resources, Managers, and other departments to align financial resources.
- Evaluates and implement financial systems and processes to improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting/Financial Management with Professional Designation in Accounting (or working towards).
- 5 to 10 years of progressive management experience.
- Superior communication skills and demonstrated ability to influence at all organization levels, building beneficial relationships in the process.
- Extensive change management experience and demonstrated approaches to enhancing and improving organizational culture.
- Self-directed and works independently with minimal supervision and demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, and capability to perform well within non-negotiable deadlines.
- Solid project management and presentation skills, including experience with developing, leading, implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office.
- A Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector Screening within the last 12 months.
- Financial Background Check.
- Ability to work remotely and in the office.
